An innovation on full screen display

Hello, Mi fans!
MIUI design team has been thinking about a mobile operating system full-screen devices would really deserve since we launched Mi Mix. However, MIUI is used by millions of people, and every straightforward change would drastically change the way people use their devices. That's why we decided to take a step-by-step approach.
the advantage of a full-screen device is that content can make use of the additional space and truly take the front stage on them. Replacing buttons with gestures sounds like a great idea which allows to free up some space. But it's not easy as it may seem: too many people are used to navigation buttons and that feeling of "giving conformation" every time you tap them.
In MIUI 9, we introduced quick ball which gave much more options for interacting with the screen, Animation icons, in their turn, signified every action with a satisfying movement, giving our users that feeling of "conformation". This gave us a major foundation for introducing full-screen gestures which were subsequently welcomed by lots of users. We introduced a new gesture as well: now you can switch between apps by simply swiping from the edge across the screen. Recent look completely different in MIUI 10. Major mobile operating systems.
Themes and icons will still look familiar to you.
however, new colors and shapes will give MIUI 10 a much fresher look.
MIUI built-in apps designed from the ground up to much the design language of full screen display.
